Caesar
Dear Heather and everyone at Project Paws, and Pat and Luke's Place, I live in a hard city in a hard business world and rarely have exposure to angels like Heather and Tiffany of Project Paws and Pat Pinches of Luke's Place. Being exposed to such a rigorous and relentless hardness, and being so required to be driven, I rarely have time to work on that side of the vocabulary.
One day, I met Project Paws after our treasured and adored 11 year old Rottweiler died unexpectedly. Loss is a terrible event for any family, but we never suffered loss of a life during the time my small son has been alive. I took it hard, real hard, and was struggling for a resolution of the pain for my small son.
I stumbled across Pat Pinches of Luke's Place in Ridgewood who works with Project Paws. They were all an intense curiosity to me, nice (and that's an understatement) people working on something they love, a true deserving charity - homeless animals. It could not be real how nice these people were, I thought.
I did some checking and it turns out they are angels. Real life angels. No fooling, no kidding, no joking.
Heather, Tiffany and Pat gave me Caesar. A stunningly glorious dog with a heart of gold and a gait so glorious and coat so rich, it looked like he stepped out of a Roman god list of greats. He changed our life and healed the pain. He is so wonderful and so delicious, we found ourselves thanking Project Paws and Luke's Place weekly, daily, hourly. Pat gave me the dog after meeting me once, but being an angel, I guess you can figure people out quickly.
Then, the heavens opened again, and Tiffany found Athena for me. A twin of Caesar found in the same pound Caesar was found. Heather stretched her angel wings as far as she could and swept down and scooped her up with mighty headwinds in her flight path to long and ugly to detail here. It was a glorious sight to behold as she gave up several days of her life to drive to get her for me. I just couldn't believe it. It was shocking to me that someone believed so much in her passion to jump off the merry-go-round, to help me for no particular reason.
I am picking up Athena Saturday night. Our family adores Caesar (as does the entire neighborhood) and our family will then be complete.
Thank you to Heather, Tiffany, and Pat, and Julie, Signed, Still in awe of your many gifts, Cleopatra
